Politicians are like diapers. They always get changed, and for the same reasons.

Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Let’s see in weeks ahead on they way they campaign. That ought to let us know what they care more: election or students.

I feel that women’s hockey should be removed from Olympics for now. I think that over the years it will grow in other countries and become a very fast past unpredictable sport. but as of now this sport should be removed from the Olympics… its a joke!

While I understand the need for student leaders to attend the conference to represent students and the need for diversity, excluding someone over the extra cost of $75 as they don’t fit into a minority caucus group, is a form of discrimination in itself and a bad excuse for saving money.

I doubt the student population would deny someone attendance at a conference for reasons that they were a member of the general student population (instead of a leader at UTMSU) and because they were not getting a discounted rate as a minority group. I applaud UTMSU’s recent work in representing minority groups but discrimination against an individual of Caucasian background, is still discrimination. Subsidies are created to assist individuals that otherwise would not attend; they are not intended to exclude individuals to attend that dont meet the subsidy requirements. This defies the whole purpose of a subsidy.

I would love to hear the candidates who were involved explain their way out of this one. But guess what, the longer they wait to tell their side,the less I am going to believe their explanation. If you need that much time to come up with your reasoning when you’ve been portrayed in a bad light, that to me means you are trying to hide something. I wish these candidates the best of luck in trying to win back the student body’s respect, and I look forward to speaking with these candidates in the future about some other issues that have come to my attention.

All Israeli citizens regardless of ethnic background have the same rights, unless you would like to illustrate your counter argument with some facts to back it up, I’ll just assume that’s classic anti-Israel misinformation.

Also don’t you think it’s funny that you chastise Israel for exporting it’s influence but also for NOT exporting it’s influence?

It really shows how hollow your whole position is.

Wow- is it a coincidence that all the big clubs who receive most of the club funding were invited to this secret group?

I love how the UTMSU which always jumps on the Medium after every editorial which disagrees with ‘their’ viewpoint (like Drop Fees Campaign) has decided to seal their lips on this particular matter and pretend like nothing happened.
